Thumbnail sketch: nó Delauney

I was thinking about wacom-ing a picture of Phèdre nó Delauney and Alcuin nó Delauney from Kushiel's Dart (Jacqueline Carey), something like the thumbnail sketch I've done above. Only now I've re-read the part that inspired this, and I've gotten it wrong > :(

"I stroked his hair where it lay against mine, then drew out two lengths and braided them together, dark and white intertwining. He kept his head next to mine and his arms about me, watching. “Our lives,” I said. “Bound together by Anafiel Delaunay.”

Maybe I'll try again, with their heads closer together, Alcuin's arm around her, and Alcuin should be prettier anyhow...

Wacom practice...

Feels like it's been ages since I've tried to draw/paint with my wacom, so decided to practice some...

These are supposed to be Rachel Weisz and Adrien Brody, but I don't think it really looks like them.

"Your grandmother drives furtively (thereby, evading those of us who are curious about where she drives to)."

(Frantz & Russell 1989 "Blackfoot Dictionary of Roots, Stems and Affixes")

For some reason this makes me want to retort: "No, YOUR grandmother drives furtively!"

Phonology VS Syntax

Oh man, when I start making graphs in my procrastination time, you know I've hit geek-bottom.
